Common questions.
DrawingPics is a native Mac app that turns your sketches into real images in real time. As you draw on the left, a real picture appears on the right — instantly, fully offline, powered by Apple's Neural Engine.
v2 is a fully native Mac app, accelerated with Core ML on the Apple Neural Engine. The result is much faster image generation, smoother real-time drawing, and lower memory and battery usage on Apple Silicon.
The app is built natively for Apple Silicon. It supports Macs with M-series chips running macOS 13+. Intel Macs are not supported, and there are no near-future plans for Windows.
If the model download fails, you can try clicking the retry button. If the issue persists, please check your network connection. Alternatively, consider using a mirror download URL. For more information, refer to our documentation at docs.drawing.pics.
On a 16GB M1 MacBook Air, a 512×512 image takes about 3 seconds. v2 runs entirely on Core ML and the Apple Neural Engine, so it stays fast even on the base M1.
Right now you use the model we provide. Every model has to be converted to Core ML before it can run on the Neural Engine, and we ship one carefully tuned model with the app. We plan to convert and release more styles over time.
It depends on the model you use. You should follow the model's license when you download it from the authors. However, many models are under the CreativeML Open RAIL-M license, which allows for commercial use.
